Shannon Stire came to Campus Dining in May 2007 and soon became the Manager of Sage Catering & Events, Restaurant and Vista Grande. A Louisiana native and mother of two, Shannon has over 10 years of catering experience. She owned and operated two of her own restaurants, one in Louisiana and one in California, and received numerous catering awards such as “Manager of the Year” at the Inn at Morro Bay. Shannon regularly attends the annual Catersource Conference in Las Vegas, keeping her techniques and strategies sharp.
Margi Braden came to Campus Dining in January 2005 as the Assistant Manager of Sage Restaurant. Margi brings over 20 years of restaurant management experience to Sage and worked as a general manager at several local restaurants such as the Flying Dutchman and Rose’s Landing in Morro Bay. Margi has lived in San Luis Obispo County for over thirty years.
Corey King joined Campus Dining in the spring of 2010 as one of the two executive chefs on campus. King brings over fourteen years of culinary arts and fine dining industry experience to Cal Poly. He oversees many of the operations on campus, which include catering, franchise restaurants, and the campus markets.
Originally from Rhode Island, King graduated from the prestigious Johnson and Whales Culinary Arts Academy and has held chef positions at Texas A&M, catering companies, resorts, and restaurants throughout the East Coast. Most recently, he worked at Tulane University in New Orleans as the Senior Executive Chef. King specializes in a variety of international cuisines and has served four of the nation's presidents: George Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and President Obama.
